Months went by as humanity rebuilt Earth after the war finally ended.  The non-humans left on Earth when the fleet bugged out assisted in rebuilding, being essentially stranded.  Any pettiness there might have been, any mistrust or prejudice was completely gone.  As far as anyone was concerned, they were all just people trying to make the best of the situation.  The reapers sought to destroy all life in the galaxy, but inadvertently brought it together.
